Leute zum Sprechen kriegen (Sound)
Jeder kennt doch die Maps der Kampagne der Grundversion. Da sind Cutscene etc. mit Sound (also dass der Gesprächstoff auch widergegeben wird) unterlegt. Wie mach ich denn sowas? Hat da jemand Ahnung?

Hab das hier in der GUI-Sound-Liste gefunden. Sagt der Mentor doch bei der ersten Nebelreichmission.

Wahrscheinlich war die Spracheinstellung irgentwo im Editor integriert, welche vor der Herausgabe herausgenommen wurde, vielleicht aber auch nicht. Vielleicht hat so ein Skriptkünstler wie Noigi da ne Ahnung...

Anmerkungen:
Umfangreiche wave-Soundfiles oder mpeg3-Soundfiles wie bei Cameraeinstellungen der Originalmissionen kann man nur für den Eigengebrauch erstellen und verwenden. An die Originalsoundfiles kommt man nicht ran. Für den Eigengebrauch und eigene Experimente könnte man sich aber einen Soundordner erstellen und dann vielleicht in den Cams einen Verweis auf Soundfiles zu diesem Ordner setzen. (Eigene Stimme z.B.)

Tja, da kann ich im Moment leider nicht mit einem konkreten Beispiel diehnen. Ich sah bislang für mich noch keine Notwendigkeit. Das müsste ich zunächst selbst herausfinden. Laut Chromix soll es aber eine Möglichkeit geben.

Was ich bis jetzt schon gemacht hab (aber schon länger her...) ist, so gut wie alle Soundtracks aus dem music-Ordner zu nehmen und durch andere, gleichnamige (umbenannt) ersetzt. Jetzt läuft bei mir schon seit langem Musik, die ich den ganzen Tag rauf und runter hören könnte. Manchmal ersetz ich die auch wieder, sonst bekomm ich nen Vogel.
Man könnte auch per
LocalMusic.SetBriefing = { {"MyNameIsWladimir.mp3", 120} }
In einem Briefing eine bestimmte Musik-Datei abspielen. Vllt parallel auf Rapidshare zum Download anbieten?

schon klar! Musik-Files zu ersetzen ist wohl das geringste Problem. Musik wird bei mir sowieso auf "stumm" gesetzt, sonst würde ich verrückt werden von dem ständigen "Gedudel".
Wenn ich Wladi richtig verstanden habe, möchte er aber nicht diese Musik-Files ersetzen, sondern z.B. zur Camlaufzeit oder zur Laufzeit eines bestimmten Briefings seine markante Stimme hören, die dann statt dem Text etwas verlauten lässt. (...richtig Wladi? )

Ups...! Vorsicht, vorsicht! Das würde u.U. gegen Urheberrecht verstossen, wenn es sich um urheberrechtlich geschützte Musik handelt und nun verbreitet wird. Bei eigenem "Gesang" allerdings nicht. In dem Fall könnte ich Wladi mit meinem Alphorn zur Seite stehen.

Jau,jau! Das klappt sogar! Interessant auch, dass dem Game die Bitrate egal zu sein scheint. Klappt sowohl mit 128 kBit/s als auch mit 360 kBit/s. Soundfile kommt wenn Briefing startet und endet wenn Briefing finished.
Damit ist Wladis Problem gelöst! Er braucht nur noch eigene Samples erstellen. Am Besten mit einer Bitrate von 260 kBit/s.
Das entspräche den Original Bitraten. Natürlich im MP3 Format. (...und natürlich das Alphorn nicht vergessen!)
Einen treffenden Namen dazu und dann rein in den Musik-Ordner.
Mithilfe Deines Codes kommen die Files beim Briefing.
Das Alphornduo Wladi/Flodder ist bereits auf dem Weg zur Bühne!

He, he...
hab in einer neuen Map mal bei einem Briefing ein Soundfile aus Emperor eingefügt. Nun öffnet Erec eine Kiste und sagt, dass man erfolgreich ein Dorf aufgebaut habe und nun wisse, wie man erfolgreich dem fruchtbaren Boden Sämlinge entlocken kann.
Ist ja zum Piepen!

Danke! Tolle Sache!
Die kann man doch einfach mit seiner Map in eine rardatei packen und mit hochladen, oder?
Den Code einfach in die FMA und die Datei in den Baseordner. Klasse, jetzt kann man das auch...
Wir entwickeln uns immer weiter.

Das Problem wird nur sein, dass der Server der Mapsource nur .zip-Dateien annimmt, die ausschließlich die Map enthalten...
Und falls der Spieler irgendwie an deine Datei kommt, musst du dein Vorsprechen richtig Timen, nicht dass die Briefing-Seite noch da is und dein "Gejodel" () schon auf der nächsten. Dann natürlich auch die Escape-Taste verbieten, sonst verrutscht das auf jeden Fall auch.

Die Einschränkung ist schon sinnvoll:
Woher willst Du wissen, wo jeder der zigtausend Spieler das Spiel installiert hat? Welches Laufwerk, welches Spieleverzeichnis? Wenn Du das tatsächlich vorhaben solltest, dann musst Du auch eine Installationsroutine schreiben, die Abfragt, auf welchem Laufwerk, in welchem Verzeichnis (...vielleicht sogar Unterverzeichnis) das Spiel installiert ist.

Es geht nicht nur um technisches Schwierigkeiten, sondern auch um Rechtliches (Copyright) und das Verhindern von Virenverbreitung über Pseudo-Maps (was ich natürlich keinem Siedlerspieler unterstellen will ).
Bei Siedler 6 kann man ja Sounddateien in die Mapdatei selbst einbinden, und selbst das ist schon nicht unkritisch.
