Bug or no?

I'm on chapter 2 after spy offered me to block gate or north rocks I chose to block north I get close to attack enemy on gate side and towers that were in beginning path to recapture city respawn after I destroyed them first time, and they take no damage. Do I have to kill first enemies in north or do something else or my game just bug out?
Just want to make sure before I restart all my progress.
I still didn't find metallurgy.

Its not a Bug, don`t worry

The enemy owns steam engines. Presumably the southern base is somehow protected? Try attacking the northern post first Metallurgy is not far from Masallia (order book)
