Could somebody please show me how to install and play these maps. TIA.

Download the zip folder.
Extract it - you only need the .s5x file.
Locate your settler folder; should look like this:
...\Blue Byte\DIE SIEDLER - Das Erbe der Könige - Gold Edition
if you have the gold edition (German in my case).
Then move the .s5x map file into one of the maps folders:
a) for the first add-on put it in \extra1\shr\maps\user
b) for the second add-on put it in \extra2\shr\maps\user
That's it. Ingame you should see the maps in your list when you wanna start a new game.
