Help with new pc

Hi, I've just bought a new PC running Windows 7 (64bit) and installed my old Settlers 4 Gold disc. It runs fine but, on the prefference screen I can't change the resolution from 800*600 to 1280*1024.

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this? I've updated to the latest version but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated.
