The terrain is not really challenging: too many vast plains.
Some more mountains, canyons and passes and also some forests could make the map more interesting.
Minerals are rare, especially coal, but in the end a surprise: the peninsula in the very east offers some.
If the waterways in some places were narrower, it would make a "bridging" with rafts possible.

Keep on goin! Map 3 will show significant improvements, I'm sure.

Got a little bit out of coal, but there is enough to defeat the enemies and finish the map
